Ian Forbes Activated From IR

Boise, Idaho - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that defenseman Ian Forbes has been activated from IR and will make his 2007-2008 debut this evening when the Grizzlies play the Idaho Steelheads at 7:10 p.m.

The Grizzlies are proud affiliates of the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Forbes, 6-foot-7, enters his third season with the Grizzlies and is a veteran of 362 professional regular season games.

The former second-round selection of the Philadelphia Flyers spent most of the summer in Salt Lake rehabilitating after he missed 32 games due to an injury last year.

In 89 total games with Utah, Forbes has tallied two goals, three assists and 175 penalty minutes.

After tonight, the Grizzlies will host Idaho Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at the E-Center.
