
Falcons, Buchanan High To Raise Money For Military Memorial Garden On November 30

Fresno, Ca...The Fresno Falcons have teamed up with Buchanan High School students, alumni, and administration, as well as Clovis area businesses and Falcons fans to raise money for the Buchanan High School Bears "Military Memorial Garden". Money will be raised through ticket sales for the November 30th Falcons game vs the Bakersfield Condors at the Save Mart Center. The B.H.S. Bears Military Memorial Garden,located on the Buchanan Campus, is a"memorial garden to honor the fallen soldiers of Buchanan High School". Since the beginning of the War in Iraq, five Buchanan graduates have lost their lives fighting for their country, more than any other high school in the Central Valley. The B.H.S. Military Memorial Garden honors all fallen soldiers. Tickets are on sale for only $ 12 for the November 30th game with $ 5 being donated back to the B.H.S. Military Memorial Foundation. Monies raised will assist with the completion and maintenance of the garden. All Buchanan students, faculty, administrators and Clovis area Falcons fans are encouraged to participate. The Falcons have also declared November 30th as Military and Veterans Appreciation Night! A special group rate is available to all Veterans and Military personnel. An on ice ceremony honoring all "fallen soldiers, active military and all veterans" will take place on the ice during the November 30th game vs Bakersfield. November 30th is also the 8th Annual Fresno Falcons Toys for Tots Teddy Bear Toss presented by Gottshcalks. All fans are encouraged to bring a brand new teddy bear or stuffed animal to the game and when the Falcons score their first goal against Bakersfield, toss your bears on to the ice. All bears will be donated to Toys for Tots. The Falcons also welcome the Sequoia Council Scouts and the Future Farmers of America to this game and the first 3000 fans in attendance will receive a free Falcons Souvenir Pennant.
