
Lynx Douse Inferno 7-4

AUGUSTA, G.A. (November 16, 2007) - Brad Ralph's two goals wasn't enough as the Augusta Lynx doused the Inferno 7-4 in front of 3,238 at James Brown Arena.
The Inferno came out shooting in the first period, tallying 17 shots versus Augusta 's nine. Augusta came out on top with a goal by Louis Goulet at 7:45. On the power play, Ralph tied the game with his seventh goal of the season from Daniel Sparre and Bryan Rodney at 5:37 of the second period. Augusta scored two more quick goals to go ahead 3-1 to end the second.
Peter Tsimikalis found a hole between the legs of goaltender J.P. Levasseur as he received a pass from Todd Perry at 2:39 of the third period. Augusta answered right back with a power play goal at 3:48 to go up 4-2. Exactly three minutes later, Bobby Bolt scored shorthanded to give the Lynx a three goal lead. At 9:01 on the power play, Ralph nets his second goal of the night as he drills the puck over the blocker of Levasseur. Mac Faulkner and Anthony Battaglia assisted on the goal. Perry brought the Inferno back to within one goal as he walked in all alone and took a slapshot from the point to score his second of the season at 10:09. Augusta would net two more goals to give themselves the win over the Inferno.
Jeff Jakaitis stopped 28 of 35 shots on goal and the Inferno were 2-for-7 on the power play.
The Inferno look for a rematch tomorrow at 1pm as Augusta will visit the Carolina Coliseum. The box office will open at 11:30am.
