Honkers Swept in Double Header by La Crosse

The Honkers had a frustrating two games in La Crosse on Thursday. They dropped the first game 7-0 and the second 5-0.
The Loggers rode a five-run third to the win in game one. The Honkers got five solid innings out of Aaron McCurley, who gave up just two runs.
The offense could only muster four hits.
The offense struggled again in game two, taking 8.1 innings to finally plate a run off a bases-loaded walk from Brendan O'Sullivan. That broke a streak of 26 straight scoreless innings.
Gauge Lockhart tossed 5.1 innings, giving up five runs and Joey Craska went 2.2 innings in relief.
The Honkers are at home Friday night against Bismarck.
