In a Nutshell

The Grizzlies went 3-1 during their recent home stand, which ended Saturday.

Utah has now won three in a row for the first time this year.

Utah is currently tied with Alaska for second place in the ECHL's West Division.

The Grizzlies return home November 18 to host Phoenix.

Hometown Boy Makes Impressive Debut

West Valley City native D.J. Jelitto made his professional debut this weekend. The 21-year-old setup Saturday's overtime game-winning goal, in the neutral zone, registering his first professional point.

Michaud is Heating Up

Utah goaltender Alfie Michaud has won three games in a row, allowing just 6 goals over that span. His four wins are tied for second in the league, behind Matthew Yeats of Idaho and Andy Chiodo of Wheeling, who both have 5 wins on the young season.

Comeback Kids

Utah has trailed in all five of their victories. Two of those wins include third-period comebacks.

1st Period Turnaround

The Grizzlies have outscored their opposition 5-1 in the first-period over their last three wins. Prior to that, the Grizzlies had been outscored 11-4 in the opening frame.

Penalty Killing Turnaround

Utah stopped 15 of 16 Alaska power-play chances this weekend. That includes four separate 5 on 3 shorthanded situations. This, after entering the weekend dead last in the ECHL during shorthanded situations. Utah is now ranked 21st out of 25 teams on the penalty kill.

We're Going to Need Another Locker

Utah acquired left wing Ryan Kinasewich from Reading on Wednesday. He spent last year between Reading and Manchester (AHL), finishing with 18 goals and 28 assists (46 points), in 72 total games. He was also named an ECHL All-Star during that same rookie season. On a side note, he is a relative of Ray Kinasewich, the first Head Coach in Salt Lake Golden Eagles history.

That's a Way to Start a Pro Career Friday, Utah rookie center Matt Craig finished as a runner-up for the ECHL's "Player of the Month" and "Rookie of the Month" awards for October. He currently has 7 goals and 4 assists. Entering Monday, he is tied for the league lead in goals scored.

The Cup is Coming

The Stanley Cup will make an appearance at the E-Center Thursday, November 24 when Utah hosts Stockton on Thanksgiving Day. Tickets for the game are available at the E-Center Box Office, Smith's Tix locations and at www.UtahGrizzlies.com.
