Week In Review

11/4 @ Florida - 3-2 loss

Anders Strome scored the game-winning goal at 5:26 of the third period to push the Everblades past the Lynx 3-2 at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida Friday night. Jamie Johnson's shorthanded goal kicked off the scoring to make it 1-0 Augusta, but Florida scored three consecutive goals for a 3-1 lead before Sam Ftorek's late marker made it 3-2. Rookie Trevor Cunning stopped 28 shots for Augusta in taking the loss.

11/5 @ Florida - 4-3 SOL

Augusta broke out to a 3-0 second period lead on goals from Phil Cole, Jamie Johnson, and Nicolas Corbeil and looked to have the game in hand. But the Everblades rallied in the third period, riding three assists from Steve Saviano to tie the contest and send it to overtime. Florida goaltender Phil Osaer (28 saves) made several key saves in overtime, including one on Corbeil with just five seconds remaining to preserve the tie and force a shootout. The Everblades would score on all three attempts in the shootout while the Lynx could only mark once and skated away with the single point.
