Titans bring in Traylen

TRENTON, NJ (November 7, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Monday that they have agreed to terms with goaltender Dustin Traylen for the 2005-06 season.

Traylen, 24, is in the midst of his rookie season after three years (2002-05) of collegiate hockey at Clarkson University. A native of Kirkland, Quebec, Traylen compiled a 30-37-8 record for the Golden Knights with a 2.74 goals against average and .909 save percentage.

Traylen, 6'3, 200 lbs, began this season in training camp with the Binghamton Senators before signing on with the Danbury Thrashers of the United Hockey League. After appearing in one game for the Thrashers, Traylen was signed to a professional tryout agreement with the Providence Bruins, with whom he dressed for two games last weekend.

In a separate transaction forward Russ Spence was activated off the 7-day injured reserve and placed on waivers. A third-year pro out of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Spence had appeared in just one game for the Titans.
