Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 1-0-1 record this past week. The Wranglers started the week with a 5-3 win over the Phoenix Roadrunners at home on Friday night. Las Vegas then fell in overtime at Bakersfield 4-3 on Saturday night.
The Wranglers return to the Orleans Arena on Tuesday, November 8th at 7:05 pm against the Fresno Falcons. Las Vegas will then host the Bakersfield Condors at 7:05 pm on Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12th. The Wranglers will hand out 5,000 mouse pads prior to the game on November 11th and the Fire and Ice Dance Team will perform on Saturday, November 12th.

Las Vegas, NV - The Wranglers defeated the Phoenix Roadrunners 5-3 in front of 4,244 on Friday night. Forwards Matt Dzieduszycki and Todd Alexander each scored two goals to lead the Wranglers offense. Newcomer Steve Crampton added a goal in the Wranglers first ever meeting with Phoenix. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 16 saves in the win.

Las Vegas 3 at Bakersfield 4 OT
Bakersfield, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated 4-3 in overtime by the Bakersfield Condors in Bakersfield on Saturday night. Bakersfield's Sean Venedam capped off a hat trick with an overtime game-winning goal with only 1:05 remaining in overtime. Las Vegas forwards Chris Stanley, Shawn Limpright and Dan Tudin each scored in the loss. Wranglers' rookie goaltender Mike McKenna made his pro debut with 27 saves in the overtime loss. The Wranglers tied a team record with 11 penalty kill attempts, allowing all four goals on the power play. The two teams combined for 19 power-play attempts.
Wranglers Raise 21,000 for Hurricane Relief
The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Saturday the team raised $21,000 at Friday night's home game against the Phoenix Roadrunners at the Orleans Arena.
Due to the aftermath of Hurricane Rita and its effects on the Texas Wildcatters professional hockey team, the Las Vegas Wranglers made a change to their 2005-2006 schedule, adding a home game Nov. 4. As part of Hurricane Relief Night, the Wranglers donated $5 of every ticket sold to the hurricane relief fund. In addition to each $5 donation made by the Wranglers, the Nevada law firm of Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario (KKBR&F) donated a portion of the $21,000.
Wranglers Roster Gets Shuffled
The Las Vegas Wranglers completed multiple transactions this past week starting with the signing of left wing Steve Crampton. Crampton joined the team from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, after scoring two goals and adding two assists for four points in seven games. Right wing Thomas Bellemare was returned from the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the AHL and in exchange, defenseman Adam Pardy was recalled to Omaha. Center Derek Edwardson was loaned to the Portland Pirates of the AHL. Defenseman Christian Chartier was returned from Manitoba after a three-week loan to the Moose of the AHL. The Wranglers added center/left wing Matt Dzieduszycki on Friday, re-signing the four-year pro.
The Wranglers finalized the first trade of the season by sending rookie center Evan Schwabe to the South Carolina Stingrays for future considerations.
Forwards Adam Huxley, Sean O'Connor, and Nick Anderson all remain on the injured reserve list.
This Week's Opponent-
Fresno Falcons - (6-1-1, 13 Points) - The Wranglers meet the Falcons for the first time and they will clash four more times this year. Fresno is led by first year coach Matt Thomas. Las Vegas is 9-7-4 all-time against the Falcons. Luke Curtin is tied for the league lead with six goals and eight assists for 14 points in eight games played. Centers Shawn Mather (5G-4A) and Derek Krestanovich (2G-7A) are also averaging more than a point a game. Goalie Brett Jaeger is 4-1-1 with a 2.73 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.
Bakersfield Condors - (3-3-1, 7 Points) - The Wranglers lead the all-time series with a 14-5-1 mark. Defenseman Scott Basiuk leads the team in scoring with one goal and seven assists for eight points in seven games. Forward Sean Venedam has five goals and two assists for seven points. All five of his goals have been scored on the power play.
