Grizzlies Partner with SLC Library for Food Drive

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies, in conjunction with the Salt Lake County Library, will be conducting the 2003 Grizzlies/SLC Library Holiday Food Drive from November 17-22 with the drive culminating with a Food Drive at the Grizzlies game on November 22nd versus Worcester.

"A great way to kick off the holiday season is to team up with Salt Lake County Library Services and the Utah Grizzlies by donating food to the Utah Food Bank distribution service," said Scott Russell (marketing manager, Salt Lake County Library Services).

All food collected at the 18 SLC Library branches and at the Grizzlies game on November 22nd will be donated to the Utah Food Bank.

As a reward to those participating in the 2003 Grizzlies/SLC Library Holiday Food Drive, the Utah Grizzlies are providing discounted tickets for their game on November 22nd. All who donate at least one food item at any of the county branches between November 17th and the 22nd or at the Grizzlies game on the 22nd will receive a voucher for $4.00 off a $12.00 corner plaza ticket (redeemable at the Grizzlies box office).

"The holiday season should always promote giving and we want to reward the good people of the Salt Lake Valley who so generously choose to share with those in need by rewarding them with an exciting Grizzlies hockey game," said Grizzlies Executive Vice President Jerry McBurney.
