SALVATION ARMY NIGHT/LADIES NIGHT

SALVATION ARMY – They will be kicking off their Holiday Red Kettle Drive, their band will be playing the National Anthem and Holiday tunes, and their mascot Captain Kettle will be in attendance.

LADIES NIGHT – First 500 ladies who enter through the doors will receive a flower. There will be lots of other door prizes for the ladies as well as a "ladies only" line at the concession stands.

Tonight's Game

The Columbia Inferno (6-3-2) and the Columbus Cottonmouths (3-9-1) meet for the third time this season. The Inferno is tied for second place in the Southern Division of the Eastern Conference with 14 points, along with Greensboro and Roanoke. The Columbus Cottonmouths is tied for fifth place with seven points in the Central Division of the Western Conference, along with the Augusta Lynx.

Last Inferno Game – Columbia 3 ROANOKE 4 (SHOOTOUT) Saturday, November 8th

The Columbia Inferno fought a tough battle as they lost 4-3 to the Roanoke Express in a shootout. This is the second shootout in a row for the Inferno. Eric Labelle opened the scoring for the Inferno at 3:51 into the first period with assists from Robin Carruthers and Tim Smith. Roanoke's Joe Dusbabek tied the game on the power play at 17:05. Corey Hessler scored at 6:57 on the power play with a slap shot from the blue line with passes from Labelle and Derek Eastman to give the Inferno a 2-1 lead. The Express would not let that lead last long as Rick Kowalsky tied the game at two a piece at 19:59 on the power play. Paul Cabana scored his third goal of the season at 2:55 of the third period on an Inferno power play. Sean Owens had the assist. Shawn Limpright flipped one past Inferno goaltender Josh Blackburn to tie the game and send it into overtime. After a scoreless overtime, shots on goal were 4-2 in Columbia's favor. Blackburn was tough in goal, stopping 40 of 43 shots. The Inferno had 39 shots on goal through the overtime period.

Columbia Inferno Highlights

Tim Smith has 10 points (3g-7a) in his last seven games...Corey Hessler has three points (1g-2a) in his last three games...Eric Labelle has two points (1g-1a) in his last game against Roanoke...Robin Carruthers has six points (2g-4a) in his last five games...Derek Eastman is among the top scoring rookies and defenseman in the ECHL with eight points (2g-6a)...Columbia is ranked sixth overall in power play opportunities with 22%.

Columbus Cottonmouths

Jean-Francois Plourde leads the Cottonmouths with eight points (5g-3a)...Columbus is 1-6-1 on the road...Carlyle Lewis is ranked second in the ECHL with 16 minor penalties.

Next Inferno Game

Inferno will travel to face-off against the Greensboro Generals on Saturday, November 15th at 7:30pm.

Up Next For Columbus

The Cottonmouths will travel to play the Augusta Lynx on Saturday, November 15th.

The Series vs. Columbus

The Inferno is 13-4-1 all-time against the Cottonmouths and 1-0-1 this season. The last game between these two teams, Columbia gained a point by losing in a shootout 4-5 on October 26th.

Friday, November 14th: Salvation Army Night/Ladies Night: The Inferno will help kick off the Holiday Red Kettle Drive for the Salvation Army...Ladies Night: First 500 ladies will receive a flower when entering the building and there will be lots of other prizes for the ladies in attendance.

Wednesday, November 26th: Turkey Bowling Night: The Harvest Hope will be here collecting food for the holiday season. Fans are encouraged to bring canned food for the needy.

Friday, November 28th: Let Mom shop and Dad's bring your kids to a hockey game...Toys for Tots...Season of Giving. Fans are asked to bring a toy to donate to the Toys for Tots program. Marines will be here to help collect the toys.

Friday, December 5th: WMHK's Bears for Caring – Bring a teddy bear and after the first goal the Inferno score you can throw the bear on the ice as a donation to WMHK's Bears for Caring program. These bears will be distributed throughout the Midlands.
