Falcons Complete Road Trip...First Practice at Save Mart Center Tomorrow

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons will finally complete an 11-game road trip to begin the 2003-04 season tonight when they battle the Long Beach Ice Dogs at Long Beach Arena. The month-long trek that began on Oct. 17 included stops in Bakersfield, Anchorage, Las Vegas, Columbus, GA, Pensacola, FL, Biloxi, MS, Beaumont, TX, and now Long Beach and covered a distance of more than 12,000 miles.

The Falcons make their ECHL home debut on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m. in their inaugural game at Save Mart Center at Fresno State against the Bakersfield Condors. The first and only time the club will skate on the ice in their new home arena prior to Sunday's game will be tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.

Notes:

· The Falcons completed a trade today when they acquired 6'5", 223 lb. defenseman Doug MacIver from the Charlotte Checkers in exchange for cash considerations. MacIver met the team in Long Beach today and will play tonight. The second-year pro saw action in eight games this season for the Checkers, recording three points (1g-2a) and 15 penalty minutes.

· Falcons players Terry Friesen, Kris Porter and Jason Weaver will appear at Mono Wind Casino tomorrow morning from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. as part of Mono Wind's Long Sleeve T-shirt Giveaway. The first 500 patrons at the casino tomorrow morning beginning at 11 a.m. will receive a long sleeve t-shirt and will qualify to enter a $1,000 cash drawing.

· Tonight's game from Long Beach can be heard on KAAT FM 103.1 on a tape delayed basis beginning at approximately 10:30 p.m.
