Bullies Outlast Wranglers 3-2 in Overtime Shootout

Atlantic City, NJ – Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies goalie Scott Stirling held the Las Vegas Wranglers scoreless in a shootout and Jim Henkel potted the game-winner in the 2nd round leading the Bullies to a 3-2 win in ECHL action on Friday night.

The Bullies scored the first goal of the game with a power play tally by Jim Henkel at 7:08 of the second period with a shot over the right shoulder of Wrangler goalie Marc Magliarditi. Matt Hubbauer scored the second goal of the game less then two minutes later when he converted an even strength goal from Brian Fahey and Preston Mizzi at 8:36 of the second. Las Vegas would quickly counter as Greg Day scored in traffic on Bullies goalie Scott Stirling at 12:48 of the second. The Wranglers would get the equalizer 2:32 seconds later at 15:20 when Dave Cousineau scored from the point tying the score 2-2. After a scoreless third period and overtime session, Stirling proved to be a stone wall in net allowing no goals in the shootout, while Henkel and Luke Curtin each scored to lead Atlantic City to victory.

The Bullies return to Boardwalk Hall on Tuesday, November 18th to host the Las Vegas Wranglers. Game time is 7:05 pm. Tuesday is "Twisted Tuesday" presented by Coors Light and Molson Canadian featuring $6 dollar discounted tickets for college students, military personnel, and casino and service industry workers and a hotdog and beer combo for only $4. Mix 97.3, Tropicana, and the Bullies will also be giving away a trip for four to Las Vegas to one lucky winner.
