Utah Grizzlies News Release
18 and Counting
Grizzlies goaltender Mike Mole has made 18-straight starts for the Grizzlies. He has stopped 39 or more shots in five of his last seven games and allowed three goals or less in six of his last eight contests.
Kotsopoulos On A Roll
Since returning to the Utah lineup November 28, Evan Kotsopoulos has tallied one goal and five assists to lead Utah in scoring. His five-game streak is one shy of James Sanford's six-gamer put up from October 31-November 8.
The Tim and Evan Show
This past weekend in Idaho, Kotsopoulos assisted three goals to linemate Tim Verbeek who has three goals and one assist since Kotsopoulos returned. In total, Kotsopoulos has assisted on four of Verbeek's nine goals this season.
Kinasewich Returns
Utah captain Ryan Kinasewich returned to the team's lineup in a limited roll Friday after missing nine games to injury. The fourth-year Utah forward focused mainly on power-play situations and expects to be back in all rolls this week. Utah is 7-3 with Kinasewich in the lineup this year.
This Week's Opposition
After meeting the Idaho Steelheads three games in four nights last week in Boise, the two teams cap off four games in seven days Tuesday at the E-Center. Stockton returns to the E-Center Friday and Saturday for the first time since Utah took two of three from them April 3-5 in the final three games of the 07-08 regular season. Utah went 4-1-0-1 versus Stockton at home last year and 7-1-0-1 versus the Thunder overall.
