
Flames Assign Ryder, Recall Watt And Carpentier

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that forwards J.D. Watt and Hugo Carpentier have been recalled to the American Hockey League's Quad City Flames. The National Hockey League's Calgary Flames have reassigned center Dan Ryder from Quad City to Las Vegas.
Carpentier appeared in ten Flames games and recorded two AHL points (a goal and an assist) before getting assigned to Las Vegas on November 14th. The rookie forward scored a goal and added two assists for three points in eight games with Las Vegas. Carpentier is in his first professional season following a four-year junior hockey career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Watt returns to the Quad Cities following an 18-game stint with the Wranglers. He recorded 14 points (five goals and nine assists) during his time in Las Vegas. The rookie forward's 51 penalty minutes rank second on the team. Watt appeared in five AHL games with the Flames before being assigned to Las Vegas on October 22nd. He was leading the Flames in penalty minutes (28) at the time of his departure. He did not record a point during his five-game stint with Quad City.
Dan Ryder has appeared in 19 games with the Flames this year. The Bonavista, Newfoundland native recorded nine points on three goals and six assists this season in Quad City. He joins the Wranglers for his first stint in the ECHL. Ryder was selected by the Calgary Flames in the third round (#74 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Ryder recorded 127 goals and 308 points in 253 games in the Ontario Hockey League from 2003 to 2007.
Las Vegas continues a five-game road trip Tuesday and Thursday in Fresno at 7:05 PM at Selland Arena. The team will stop in Bakersfield before returning home for the Midnight game on Monday, December 15th at 11:59 PM.
