
Dovgan Reassigned to Hershey Bears

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/General Manager Jared Bednar announced today defenseman Viktor Dovgan has been recalled to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Dovgan, 20, was in his second stint with the Stingrays after playing last year in Russia. The Moscow, Russia native had 11 points (5g, 6a) and 95 penalty minutes in 56 games with the Stingrays in 2006-07. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound blueliner is making his second appearance with the Hershey Bears; in the Bears' 2006-07 regular season finale in Philadelphia he posted two penalty minutes. Originally, Dovagan was the Capitals' 7th round pick (209th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Rays return home for games on the 19th and 20th against Northern Division foes, the Elmira Jackals. Friday the 19th is BB&T's Blow the Dough and the Saturday the 20th you can get your picture taken with the one and only Santa Claus.
