
Jackals Spread Holiday Cheer

Elmira, NY- The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, have taken some time this month to replace their hockey helmets with Santa hats. Throughout the course of the Holiday Season the Elmira Jackals have been seen lifting the spirits of those in the community.
With four games in five nights last week, the Jackals found time to visit the St. Joseph's Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, where they spoke with the residence.
"The guys were a tremendous hit with our residents." Said Denis Sweeney, Director of Marketing and Community Development for St. Joseph's Hospital. "They truly lifted the spirits of many of our residents." Sweeney added.
The Jackals will continue to spread the Holiday cheer when they make visits to these upcoming events: "Hope For Christmas" on Saturday, December 13th. That same day the Jackals will also visit the "Foster Children Christmas". On Sunday, December 14th the Jackals will attend the "2nd Annual Children's Holiday Wish Party" from 1-2 p.m. at the Holiday Inn. On Wednesday, December 17th Blade and Robbie Nichols will be at the "Glove House Christmas Party". The Jackals will be at Arnot Mall from 6-7 p.m. on the 23rd of December singing Christmas Carols. The Jackals will help bring in the New Year when they make an appearance at the "Annual Crystal City Countdown" hosted by News channel 36, WENY-TV.
The Jackals wish you a safe and happy holiday season. During the holiday month the Jackals will play at home on Sunday the 14th against Trenton at 4:05 p.m. On Friday the 26th the Johnstown Chiefs are in town for a 7:35 p.m. tilt. Get your tickets now by calling 734-PUCK
