Utah Grizzlies News Release

Ontario, California - The ECHL announced today that Utah Grizzlies broadcaster Adrian Denny has been named to the television broadcast crew for the ECHL All-Star Classic for the second time in three seasons.

The game will take place at 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 26 at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield. Denny will serve as the rinkside reporter during the game and join Bakersfield broadcaster Kevin Bartl, who will handle play-by-play and former NHL General Manager Neil Smith, who is also the Owner of the ECHL's Greenville Road Warriors. Television broadcast information for the game will be announced in the coming weeks.

Adrian Denny, 28, is in his sixth season as the Grizzlies play-by-play announcer and is in his eighth season as a member of the Grizzlies Radio broadcast team. He has broadcasted over 400 consecutive games for the Grizzlies since he took over play-by-play at the start of the 2005-2006 season.

"Adrian is one of the most recognized and most respected broadcasters in the ECHL and the state of Utah," said Grizzlies CEO Kevin Bruder. "We are again excited to share his passion and preparation skills with those outside our state and the Grizzlies family."

The University of Utah graduate, who also serves as the Grizzlies Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting, was the driving force as the team returned to the sports radio format at the start of the 2009-2010 season when a broadcast agreement was announced with 1320 KFAN and 1230 KFAN-2. In addition to the broadcasting department, Denny also oversees public relations, marketing/advertising, utahgrizzlies.com and assists Head Coach Kevin Colley in hockey operations.

In addition to television, the all-star classic will be once again be broadcast live on 1230 KFAN-2. Grizzlies defenseman Jake Gannon was named to the team last week.
