TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After taking the opener of this three game series against the Florida Everblades, Cincinnati will look to make it two in a row against the ECHL's hottest offense. Cincinnati has a 4-6-0 All-Time record against the Everblades, 2-2 at Germain Arena.
SCOUTING THE EVERBLADES: With the loss on Wednesday night, Florida has now dropped two straight games and remain five points behind the Greenville Road Warriors in the South Division. While their 124 goals-scored still pace the ECHL, their 110 goals against ranks them 17th out of 19 teams. Mitch Fadden and Francis Lemiuex each added to their league-leading totals on Wednesday night. Fadden had an assist in the series opener and now owns 51 points (15 goals, 36 assists) in 36 games while Lemieux's goal gives him 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists) in 35 games. Fadden is also currently riding a six-game point streak.
THE CYCLONES FREQUENT FLYER: For the second time this season, Chet Pickard was recalled to Milwaukee this past week. In his first call-up (from 12/3-12/21), Pickard went 1-1-0 with a 2.29 goals-against average. He has a career AHL record of 15-20-4. He was returned to the team today and be on the roster for game two of this three game series.
THREE'S OR BETTER: The 'Clones have been deadly when they hold their opponents to 3 goals or less. Cincinnati is 11-3-3 this season in such situations.
THE NEW GUY: The Cyclones blue-line got a shot in the arm as rookie Adam Comrie was assigned by Rochester. He had 3 assists in 17 games with the Amerks.
