The Elmira Jackals play their first home game of 2011 when they welcome the Kalamazoo Wings to First Arena at 7:35 p.m.
PK PERFECTION
Although Kalamazoo entered last weekend with the league's second-best power play, the Jackals silenced the K-Wings man advantage, going 12/12 on the penalty kill in the two contests on Friday and Saturday. The Jackals have the league's second-best road penalty kill at 90.9%.
POSITIVE START
For the third time this season, the Jackals won the first game of a month. Elmira also won the first games of October and November and has a combined record of 12-4-4-0 in months in which it has won its first game. The Jackals were 3-6-1-0 in December, the only month in which they lost their first game.
