PRINCETON, NJ - The ECHL announced Friday that Gwinnett Gladiators broadcaster Dustin Bixby was named to the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Game radio broadcast team. Bixby will be joined in the booth by Jeff Harris of the Victoria Salmon Kings and Bob Mills of the Bakersfield Condors.

Bixby is currently in his eighth season with the Gladiators. A recipient of the ECHL's American Conference Media Relations Director of the year award for the 2006-07 season, he has been in the broadcast booth for the Gladiators since the organization relocated to Gwinnett from Mobile, AL.

"Dustin has been here since the beginning, and we really are lucky to have someone of his caliber here," said Gladiators President Steve Chapman. "Aside from being a fantastic broadcaster, Dustin fills so many roles for the team. That's really what makes him so valuable."

Prior to joining the Gladiators, Bixby was the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Director with the Baton Rouge Kingfish (now the Victoria Salmon Kings) during the 2002-03 season. He got his start in hockey during the organization's final season in Mobile as the Mysticks director of Broadcasting and Media relations in 2001-02. A native of Crofton, Maryland, Dustin graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Mass Communication in January of 2001.
