Blades See More Shuffling to Roster

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that forward Cedric McNicoll has been recalled to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League and that goaltender Bobby Goepfert has been reassigned to the club by the Checkers.
McNicoll heads to the AHL for the first time this season having posted 15 points (6g, 9a) in 21 games with the Everblades this season. Last week the 22-year-old was named the ECHL's Plus Performer of the Month for December after finishing plus-11 for the final month of 2010.
McNicoll, who has collected points in six of his last eight games (4g, 5a), returns to the AHL where last season he saw action in 52 totals games between Lake Erie and Albany. With Lake Erie the Longueuil, Quebec native notched 13 points in 45 games and also posted two goals in seven games with Albany.
Goepfert returns to the Everblades after a brief call-up to Charlotte earlier this week. The 27-year-old net-minder served as the Checkers' back-up goalie in their game on Wednesday. Overall with the Everblades this season Goepfert has posted a record of 13-8-1 with a 2.67 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.
Fukala Signs
In a separate move the Everblades signed forward Kevin Fukala (pronounced: fuh-KAL-ah) to a contract. The 25-year-old skated in one game with the Everblades in December and registered one fight.
Fukala has also played this season with the Bloomington Prairie Thunder of the Central Hockey League and the Augusta RiverHawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League. With Bloomington he saw action in 17 games and posted 46 penalty minutes. The Elgin, Illinois native most recently has skated in 11 games with Augusta picking up one goal and 102 PIM.
