Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

In 2008, Worcester Sharks defenseman and Hockey Players for Kids (HP4K) Co-Founder Mike Moore encountered a group of local kids who weren't going to have much of a Christmas. Wanting to reach out to these young individuals, he created a wish list of toys, had all the players on his team sign up to buy one or two inexpensive items and arranged for the players to deliver them after a December home game. Not surprisingly, the kids had an absolute blast and the players loved having the opportunity to make a difference in someone's holiday. Playing off of his last name, "Give Moore for the Holidays" was born.

Two years later, Cincinnati Cyclones forward (and fellow HP4K co-founder) Dustin Sproat wanted to help grow this initiative into a nationwide effort. Partnered with his teammates, the Cyclones front office, and the Cyclones fan club, Sproat helped collect gifts for families at the Bethany House and St. Joseph's Orphanage.
