Grizzlies Change It Up: Acquire Three From Pensacola

Long Beach, California - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today the team has acquired forward Brendan Cook along with right wing Tyler Liebel and defenseman Chris Trick from the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for Mike Wirll and Ed Hill. The Grizzlies return to action tonight in Long Beach. Face-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. The new players will join the team tomorrow in Fresno.

With the Ice Pilots last year, Cook had 42 points (20 goals, 22 assists) in 70 games. This season, the product of Bemidji State University had two goals and three assists in ten games for Pensacola.

Liebel is in his third pro season and scored 56 points (18 goals, 38 assists) in 61 games last year playing for Wichita in the Central Hockey League. He had two goals and five assists in ten games at the time of his Pensacola departure. He played four years at Colorado College.

The 6-foot-4 Trick is in his first full professional season after four years at Notre Dame. Last year, following college, he had two goals and four assists in 15 games for the Ice Pilots. He played 10 games for Pensacola this season.

Mike Wirll leaves Utah in his first season with six goals and four assists in thirteen games. Hill had two assists in thirteen games this season for the Grizzlies.
