Condors Receive Kim from Long Beach
November 17, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors Professional Hockey Club today announced today that they have acquired centerman Alex Kim from the Long Beach Ice Dogs for financial considerations.
In five games with Long Beach, Kim recorded four points in five games (3g, 1a).
"Alex is a player with great potential who hasn't had a chance to live up to it at this point in his career," said Head Coach Marty Raymond. "If he decides to come to Bakersfield he would add a lot of skill to our team."
The 5'11" Fullerton, CA native played for the now- defunct San Diego Gulls last season. In 24 games he posted 16 goals and 22 assists for San Diego. Kim also spent time with the Portland Pirates and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
The Condors will take on the Idaho Steelheads Saturday night at Rabobank Arena at 7pm. One hundred lucky fans will walk away with a $50 gas card courtesy of Mobil. After the game all season ticket holders are invited downstairs for a Meet the Team party.
Individual game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10am - 6pm Monday through Friday and 10am - 4pm on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
