
Ice Dogs trade Alex Kim to Bakersfield

Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs, a proud affiliate of the Boston Bruins, announced today that the have traded Alex Kim to The Bakersfield Condors in exchange for financial considerations. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In other moves, the Ice Dogs have received goaltender Mike Brown on return from loan from the Boston Bruins. Brown did not appear in any games for the Boston or Providence Bruins.
The Ice Dogs have also released goaltender Jeff Weber and have activated goaltender Adam Hanna from the 30-day IR.
Kim, 27, played in five games for the Ice Dogs this season posting four goals and one assist. In 157 ECHL games, with Reading, Peoria, Long Beach, and San Diego he recorded 68 goals, 74 assists and 153 penalty minutes. Kim has also played for the Idaho Steelheads in the WCHL and the Rockford IceHogs in the UHL. Before turning pro, Alex played college hockey at Miami University (Ohio).
Weber, 22, went 1-4-0 this season for the Long Beach Ice Dogs with a 4.86 GAA and a .830 SV%. Jeff spent his first full professional season with the Stockton Thunder in 2005-06 and compiled a 4-21-6 record with a 3.64 GA and a .899 save % in 39 games. A former eighth round draft selection of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2003 NHL Draft, Weber made his professional debut with Atlantic City of the ECHL, and previously compiled a 38-38-13 record in 101 career junior games with Sault Ste. Marie, Plymouth, Barrie, and Saginaw of the Ontario Hockey League. Weber was awarded the Community Relations Award by the Stockton Thunder last season, after his extensive work in the Stockton Community.
The Ice Dogs are at home on this Friday and Saturday night at 7:30pm vs. the Utah Grizzlies and the Phoenix RoadRunners. The first 1000 ladies in attendance on Friday night will receive an Ice Dogs thong during "Desperate Housewives Night". The Ice Dogs will be hosting "Scout Night" on Saturday with a "scout patch" giveaway. Season and group tickets for the 2006-07 season are on sale now.
