
Grizzlies Beat Bakersfield 6-4; Bobkov Earns First Win

Bakersfield, California - The Utah Grizzlies led from start to finish and beat the Bakersfield Condors 6-4 Saturday night at Rabobank Arena.
Goaltender Igor Bobkov stopped 28 of 32 shots and earned his first win of the season with the Grizzlies. Mathieu Aubin finished with two goal and one assists and Brent
Gwidt scored a late empty-netter to cap off his two-goal night.
Michael Pelech made it 1-0 15:26 into the first period on a power-play goal and 1:53 later Kevin Lind's first pro goal made it 2-0.
38 seconds after Bakersfield made it 2-1 in the second, Brent Gwidt scored on a breakaway for his first of the night and gave the Grizzlies their two-goal lead back. Utah made it 4-1 10:18 into the second as Aubin scored on a two-on-one with Matt Pelech and Cam Wojtala picking up assists.
The Grizzlies made it 5-2 in the third on another Aubin goal, this one assisted by Michael Pelech.
Bakersfield came back with 2 goals in 1:42 to make it 5-4 late; but with some more saves from Bobkov sealed it before Brent Gwidt's empty-net goal.
Utah wraps up three-games-in-three-nights Sunday again in Bakersfield. Face-off is at 6:30 p.m.
