SETTING THE SCENE

The Oilers and Mallards face off in the third of eight meetings this season and for the second time at the BOK Center. Tulsa is 1-0-1 against Quad City with a 3-2 victory on home ice on November 28 and a 4-3 shootout loss on the road on November 19. Both teams triumphed last night as the Oilers picked up a 4-1 win over Brampton and the Mallards posted a 3-1 win in Wichita. Drew Fisher leads the Oilers with three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in two outings against Quad City and Kevin Carr has been in net for Tulsa in each of the two previous contests.

TAMING THE BEAST

The Oilers gave up an early goal on Friday night but stormed back to score four unanswered goals in a 4-1 win over the Brampton Beast. Rookie goalie Brady Hjelle made 33 stops to earn his first win of the season and Tulsa moved back within two points of first place in the Central Division. Kyle O'Kane, Drew Fisher, Adam Pleskach, and Luke Judson each posted a pair of points to lead the Oilers' offense.

ON THE VERGE

With the win over Brampton last night, Tulsa secured back-to-back victories for the fifth time this season. A win tonight against the Mallards would give the Oilers their first three-game win streak of the season and would cap off an unblemished week of hockey.

POWER RESTORED

After failing to score a power play goal in six consecutive games, the Oilers have scored four power play goals in their last two contests. Tulsa set a new season-high with three power play strikes in Wednesday's win over Wichita and went 1-for-2 on Friday night against Brampton.

STREAKING LINEMATES

Forwards Kyle O'Kane and T.J. Caig are riding four-game point streaks, the longest current streaks on the Oilers' roster. O'Kane, a third-year pro out of St. Louis, Missouri, has six points (4 goals, 2 assists) over his last four games. Caig, who ranks eighth in the ECHL scoring race, also has six points (6 assists) in his last four outings.

SIMPLE MATH

In their last three victories the Oilers have totaled 16 goals or 5.3 goals per game. Tulsa has found the net 11 times in the last two games, its highest two-game goal total since tallying 15 goals in the first two games of the season. In the last three losses, the Oilers have mustered only six total goals, an average of only two goals per game.

OIL DROPS

Jon Booras, the Oilers' leading scorer, missed his first game of the season on Friday night due to an upper body injury...Luke Judson returned to the Tulsa lineup on Friday after missing the last 13 games with an injury and dished out a pair of assists in his second multi-point game of the season...Tommy Mele leads the team with 83 penalty minutes in 24 games and has already tied his penalty total from last season when he racked up 83 minutes in 57 games for the Alaska Aces...
