Atlanta Gladiators News Release

DULUTH, Ga. - Things were chippy early with two fights coming in the game's first four minutes. Tom Serratore and Bo Dolan dropped gloves at 1:50, and then Chris Reed and Anthony Perdicaro followed suit at 3:57. Play was just as competitive through the first fifteen minutes of the game, but then Cincinnati began to pull away just shy of the 16 minute mark.

Stephan Vigier opened the scoring at that time with his 6th of the season. 30 seconds later, Chris Reed scored his first goal in over a season to give Cincinnati the 2-0 lead. With 30 seconds left in the period, Kevin Sullivan made it 3-0 with his point shot through the screen in front of goaltender Mike Lee.

19 seconds into the second period, Cincinnati continued their scoring ways with a far point shot from Cyclones captain David McDonald that Lee was late to defend. Gwinnett would tally the next six shots after that, outshooting the Cyclones 9-to-4 in the frame, but were unable to beat Rob Madore in Cincinnati's crease.

The Gladiators would rally for two goals in the third. CJ Chartrain notched his first goal of the season just over three minutes into the final frame to get Gwinnett on the board. Defenseman Tristin Llewellyn would cut Cincinnati's lead in half with a power play goal eight minutes later, making the score 4-2. Madore and the Cyclones would hang on throughout the remainder of regulation, and a flurry of activity from the Gladiators, to take home the win.

Lee conceded four goals on 22 shots, while Madore stopped 27 of the 29 he faced. Eleven penalties were called in the game, five of which occurred in the intense third period. Gwinnett finished 1-for-5 on the man advantage.
