Gladiators Get Two from AHL, Schell Called Up

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced five roster changes today. Forward Jeff Campbell has been reassigned to Gwinnett from the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League. Adam Courchaine has been assigned to the team from the Houston Aeros of the AHL while forward Brad Schell has been called up to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. In addition, the Gladiators placed defenseman Rick Emmett on the 7-day IR yesterday while activating Troy Milam from the 30-day IR today.

Campbell returns to the Gladiators where he ranks first in scoring with 80 points off of 30 goals and 50 assists in 59 games this season with the Gladiators. Campbell also ranks first on the Gladiators in game winning goals with 7 on the season. The Hensall, Ontario native recorded a goal and an assist in 7 games with Lowell in the AHL.

Courchaine began the season with the Aeros and has appeared in 10 AHL games this season before being assigned to the Pensacola Ice Pilots on November 23rd. In 42 games this season with the Ice Pilots before being recalled to Houston, the Winnipeg, Manitoba native led Pensacola in scoring with 21 goals and 28 assists for 49 points.

Schell makes his second trip of the season to the Wolves where he appeared in 5 games this year recording a goal and 2 assists for 3 points. Schell currently ranks second in scoring on Gwinnett with 79 points off of 23 goals and 56 assists in 59 games.

Milam has been activated from the 30-day IR after being transferred yesterday from the 7-day IR to the 30-day IR. In addition, Rick Emmett had been placed on the 7-day IR. Emmett will be available again for Gwinnett beginning April 10th.

Courchaine and Campbell should be available for the Gladiators for Tuesday's 7:05 p.m. tilt against the Florida Everblades at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

The Gwinnett Gladiators, who have already clinched a first round bye in the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs, continue the 2005-06 ECHL season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Tuesday, April 4th as they host the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
