
Titans Beauchemin Named ECHL Rbk Hockey Goaltender Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Rejean Beauchemin of the Trenton Titans is the
Rbk Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Mar. 27-Apr. 2.
The 21-year-old Beauchemin was 2-0-1 with a goals-against average of 1.91
and a save percentage of .955 in three home games as the Titans improved to
30-34-5.
The 6-foot-2 and 186-pound rookie made 36 saves and stopped four of five
shooters in the shootout as the Titans beat Johnstown 4-3 in a shootout on
Mar. 29 and he had 46 saves in a 3-2 win over Toledo on Mar. 31. He stopped
45 of 46 shots, including six in overtime, and two of five shooters in the
shootout as the Titans lost 2-1 to Toledo in a shootout on Apr. 1.
Selected in the sixth round (191st overall) by Philadelphia in the 2003 NHL
Entry Draft and under contract to the Flyers, Beauchemin is 4-2-3 with a
goals against of 2.13 and a save percentage of .941 in his last nine starts
for the Titans. He is 8-16-4 with a goals against of 2.94 and a save
percentage of .914 in 29 games for Trenton while also playing in the
American Hockey League for the Philadelphia Phantoms where he is 3-7-1 with
a 2.60 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native played three seasons with Prince Albert in
the American Hockey League from 2002-05 where he was 63-60-11 in 150 games
and finished as the team's career leader in goals-against average (2.60),
save percentage (.904) and shutouts (12). In 2003-04, he was 30-21-6 and
set team records with a goals-against average of 2.32 and six shutouts
while also being named as the Humanitarian of the Year.

and Michael Mole, San Diego (2-0-0, 1.47 GAA, .963 save pct.).
