Adirondack Thunder News Release

GAME NOTES

BEASTS OF THE EAST: Tonight's matchup features two of the Eastern Conference's top teams as second place Adirondack visits third place Atlanta. The Thunder, despite an 8-1 record, have fallen beneath the Florida Everblades in the conference standings by two points, but have four games in hand. The Gladiators, meanwhile, have 13 points through 11 games played.

CONSISTENT CONSTANT: Blueliner Ryan Constant has now recorded a point in each of his last six games, including assists in both games last weekend. Constant's streak is now tied with forward Michael Kirkpatrick for the longest on the team this season. Constant's previous long streak was seven, from November 14, 2012 through November 30, 2012.

LION'S KEN: Goaltender Ken Appleby posted his first shutout of the season last Friday against Toledo and looks to build off of that tonight. He is currently posting a .940 save percentage with 211 saves in seven games and a 1.85 goals against average.

AS FREE AS A HEARD: Mitchell Heard scored the lone goal in the Thunder's last outing, a 1-0 victory over Toledo. Heard has been one of the Thunder's top performers since he was assigned from Stockton early in the season, with seven points (3-4-7) in eight games played.

THAT'S A PLUS: Thunder defenseman David Shields currently leads all Thunder skaters with a +7 rating, which has him tied for seventh in the ECHL. Shields has yet to record a minus this season and is currently a +2 on the current roadtrip.

UP AND ACTIVE: The Thunder made some roster shuffling yesterday, as Garrett Ladd and Roberts Lipsbergs were added to the active roster, Louick Marcotte was moved to the reserve and James Henry was moved to injured reserve. Lipsbergs and Ladd are eligible to make their 2015-16 debut tonight.
