TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

The Oilers face off against the Americans on Budweiser Military Night benefiting Folds of Honor. The Oilers will wear special camouflage and patriotic jerseys which will be auctioned off immediately following the game to raise money for Folds of Honor, a non-profit foundation that provides scholarship opportunities for children of veterans who were killed or wounded in action. Tulsa holds a 2-1 series lead on Allen and the home team has won each of the previous three contests. In the last meeting between the Central Division rivals, the Oilers posted a 3-1 victory at the BOK Center on November 3.

SPOILED IN A SHOOTOUT

Wednesday night in Wichita, the Oilers suffered a 2-1 shootout loss to the Thunder. Brandon Wong scored a 5-on-3 power play goal for Tulsa and Jussi Olkinuora made 30 saves as the Oilers earned a single point on the road. Anthony Deluca sealed the win for Wichita with a goal in the fourth round of the shootout. The Oilers dropped to 0-1-0-1 against the Thunder in the StoneWolf Casino Cup series.

SWAPPING WITH THE SWAMP RABBITS

On Thursday, the Oilers traded forward Darian Dziurzynski to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in exchange for forward Emerson Clark. In nine games this season for Greenville, Clark, 22, recorded three goals, two assists, and 25 penalty minutes. A third-year pro from Whitby, Ontario, Clark appeared in 62 games for Greenville during the 2014-15 season and posted 25 points (16 goals, 9 assists) to go along with a team-high 217 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound winger split time in his rookie campaign of 2013-14 between the Toledo Walleye and Greenville. Dziurzynski departs Tulsa after putting up two goals, two assists, and 16 penalty minutes in nine games.

NEW MIDDLE MAN

Earlier this week the Oilers signed center Christophe Lalancette (lah-LAWN-set), a 24-year old from Roberval, Quebec. Lalancette, who started the season in Wheeling but did not appear in a game for the Nailers, made his professional debut on Wednesday night in Wichita. A fourth round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2012, Lalancette played five seasons of major-junior hockey in the QMJHL before turning pro.

DYNAMIC DUO

Through the first ten games of the season, Oilers' goalies Jussi Olkinuora and Kevin Carr have combined for a 2.26 goals against average and a .920 save percentage. Both puck-stoppers rank in the top 20 in the ECHL in individual goals against average with Carr at 1.51 (6th) through four appearances and Olkinuora at 2.46 (17th) through six appearances. With Carr and Olkinuora behind them, the Oilers have surrendered three goals or fewer in eight of the first ten games.
