Last Game

Zach Pochiro and Matt Neal provided two goals and one assist apiece and Raphael Bussieres also scored twice as the host Mallards defeated the Alaska Aces 7-4 Wednesday night.

Fire Power

The Mallards set a team season high by scoring seven times Wednesday night.

Seventh Heaven

Seven Mallards recorded two or more points Wednesday night: Pochiro (2-1-3), Neal (2-1-3), Bussieres (2-0-2), Olivier Archambault (0-3-3), Mike Monfredo (0-3-3), Guillaume Gelinas (0-2-2) and Darren McMillan (0-2-2).

Home Sweet Home

The Mallards are unbeaten in regulation (4-0-1) in their last five home games.

Rough Road

The Mallards have gone winless (0-3-2) in five road games since winning their opener in Allen October 16.

Division

Tonight's game is the Mallards' twelfth overall but just their second against a division opponent. The Mallards lost their first game against a fellow Midwest Division club last Saturday when they fell 5-2 to the Indy Fuel.

First Blood

The Mallards have gone 5-0-1 when scoring first and 0-4-2 when allowing the first goal.

Finishing Kick

The Mallards have outscored the opposition 8-2 in the third period of their last six games.

Arch Madness

Archambault has totaled seven points over a four-game point-scoring streak (three goals and four assists) to climb into a tie for second in the ECHL in assists (9) and a tie for third in points (13).

Red Light District

Bussieres and Neal are now tied for the team lead in goals (6). Bussieres has produced five points in just his last three games (three goals and two assists) while Neal has four points (three goals and one assist) over those three games.

Zach's Back

Pochiro made an emphatic return from the AHL's Chicago Wolves- with whom he spent last weekend- by notching three points Wednesday night. He has piled up five points (three goals and two assists) in his last two games with the Mallards.

Blue Line

Monfredo is now tied for the lead among ECHL defensemen in assists (9) and is tied for second overall in assists. Monfredo is also tied for second among defensemen in points (10) with Gelinas, who is tied for fourth among defensemen in assists (7). Monfredo has five points (one goal and four assists) in his last three games while Gelinas has registered seven points (one goal and six assists) in his last seven games.

Special Teams

The Mallards went 2-for-5 on the power play Wednesday and have gone 7-for-21 on the man advantage in their last six games. The Mallards rank sixth in the ECHL on the power play (25.5 percent). The Mallards, who were shorthanded just once Wednesday night, have survived their opponents' last seven power plays. They are tied for thirteenth in the league in penalty killing (84.4 percent).

Head to Head

Tonight's game is the first of 11 this season between the Mallards and Cyclones and the first of five between the two clubs at U.S. Bank Arena. The Mallards last season dropped both of their games against the Cyclones.
