Game Notes: November 20 vs Indy

Tuesday Morning Recap: The Cincinnati Cyclones (8-2-1-1) picked up a 3-1 win over the Alaska Aces on Tuesday Morning. Forwards Christiaan Minella, Nick Huard, and Peter Quenneville netted the goals for the Cyclones. Huard also added an assist to extend his point streak to six games. Goaltender Brad Thiessen was solid in net tonight, stopping 30 of the 31 shots he faced to earn the win. Cincinnati was outshot, 31-26 on the night, while the power play converted on 1-of-2 opportunities.

Saturday Recap: The Cincinnati Cyclones (7-2-1-1) dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday night. Forward Branden Gracel scored the lone goal for the Cyclones, who tied the game with 40 seconds left in regulation. The Cyclones outshot Kalamazoo, 38-26, on the night, while goaltender Neil Conway looked solid in his Cyclones debut, stopping 25 of the 26 shots he faced. The power play was 0-for-6 on the evening.

Friday Recap: The Cincinnati Cyclones (7-2-0-1) picked up a 3-1 win over the Quad City Mallards on Friday night. Forward Joe Pendenza recorded a pair of goals, while forward Jack Downing added one for the Cyclones. Pendenza added an assist, and forward Nick Huard extended his point streak to four games with a pair of helpers. Cincinnati outshot Quad City, 28-24, on the night, while the power play converted on both opportunities.

Previewing Indy: The Fuel currently sit in second place in the ECHL's Midwest Division, three points behind the Cyclones. They have won three straight, and are coming off of a 3-2 shootout win over the Alaska Aces back on Saturday, where forwards Kyle Stroh and Cody Sharib recorded the goals in regulation. They are led in scoring by forward Dylan Clarke , who has accounted for five goals and six assists. Right behind him is forward Garett Bembridge (6g 3a), and a pair of eight-point scorers in forward Alex Lavoie (2g, 6a), and defenseman Ben Marshall (1g, 7a).

Inside the Series: This is the first of nine meetings this season between these two sides, however they will not meet again until January 27. The Cyclones took six of the nine meetings last year, compiling a 6-2-1-0 record in those games.

Next Game Preview: The Cyclones host the Orlando Solar Bears in their one and only meeting this season on Saturday night. The Solar Bears had Cincinnati's number last season, posting a 5-1-0-1 record in seven games.
