Walleye Roar Back to Beat Brampton 3-2

(Brampton, ON) Max Gaede and Marek Tvrdon scored in the third period to lead Toledo to a 3-2 win Friday night in Brampton. Toledo has an overall record of 6-5-0-3 and is 6-4-0-2 on the road.

Brampton struck first with a goal at 13:13 of the first period as Luc-Olivier Blain's shot deflected past goaltender Jeff Lerg. Toledo was outshot 9-8 in the opening period. Brampton led throughout much of the second period until Alden Hirschfeld (7th) banked in a shot off of Beast goaltender Trevor Cann with just 23 seconds left in the second period.

In the third period, Brandon Marino scored for Brampton to give the Beast a 2-1 lead just 1:28 into the third period. The first professional goal from forward Max Gaede at 9:54 of the third period evened the score. At 14:05 Austin Wuthrich dropped a pass to Marek Tvrdon (5th) who wristed a shot through Cann to give the Walleye the win.
