VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that fewer than 500 tickets remain for the Saturday, July 5 match against Cascadia rivals Seattle Sounders FC. Kickoff at BC Place will be at 7 p.m. PT - TV : TSN, RADIO : TEAM 1410, teamradio.ca, MOBILE: bell.ca/mobiletv, ONLINE: TSN GO .
Whitecaps FC also announced that capacity for the July 5 match will be increased to 22,500 to accommodate 1,500 youth soccer players attending from the BC Soccer Provincial Youth Soccer Championships. For the second straight year - through the community partnership between Whitecaps FC and BC Soccer - Whitecaps FC offered all tournament participants an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets to see the "ËCaps take on the Sounders at BC Place.
"It's an exciting time for soccer with our team entering a crucial point in the season, the World Cup reaching the knockout stages, and the BC Soccer Provincial Youth Soccer Championships set to begin," said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi. "We look forward to seeing our fans set the tone for the rest of summer with another spectacular atmosphere at BC Place."
