Earthquakes Face Seattle Sounders FC Today

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (8-8-6; 8th place) are facing Seattle Sounders FC (10-5-6; 3rd place) in the regular season finale today at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. The match kicks off at 3:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.

The Earthquakes clinched their spot in the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs with a 3-2 win over LAFC on Wednesday. Sunday's match, kicking off concurrently with the other five matches in the Western Conference, will decide the final standings and first-round matchups.

San Jose can finish anywhere between sixth and eighth place depending on their result and the results of matches being played by LAFC (6th) and the Colorado Rapids (7th).

Sunday's match is the fourth between San Jose and Seattle this season, with Sounders FC earning one victory and the other two finishing in a scoreless draw. 2020 is the first season in which these two teams will face off four times during MLS play.
