November 8, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Columbus Crew SC News Release
COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC hosts Atlanta United at MAPFRE Stadium today, Sunday, November 8 [3:30 p.m. ET / SportsTime Ohio, FOX Sports GO (Stream)]. Today's match also airs locally on the radio in English on 97.1 The Fan and streaming online via "Listen Live" at 971TheFan.com, featuring Chris Doran broadcasting the contest. The Club's official website, ColumbusCrewSC.com, is set to stream the Spanish-language audio broadcast with Juan Valladares behind the microphone. Today's contest is Crew SC's final regular-season match of the 2020 season, as the Club looks to secure a top-four finish in the Eastern Conference standings, guaranteeing at least one home match in the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs.
The Decision Day presented by AT&T contest between the Crew and Atlanta United is set to be the eighth all-time regular-season meeting between the two clubs dating back to the 2017 season. Notably, Crew SC has won its last three regular-season matches against Atlanta dating back to a March 30 contest at MAPFRE Stadium last season, outscoring Atlanta United 6-1 over that span. In 2020, the Black & Gold have posted a winning regular-season record of 8-1-0 when playing at MAPFRE Stadium, posting five shutouts. Additionally, Crew SC currently has a point per games total of 1.73 in regular-season action this year, which is tied with its 2001 total for second-highest point per games total in Club history, behind only the Club's 2008 total of 1.9 points per game.
Post-game, following the home match against Atlanta United, Crew SC Head Coach Caleb Porter and select Crew SC players will be available via a video conference call in press conference style.
