LAFC Draws Portland Timbers 1-1 on Decision Day Presented by AT&T

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) tied Portland Timbers FC 1-1 on Sunday afternoon during MLS's Decision Day presented by AT&T. With the draw, LAFC will finish the regular season in 7th place and will take on Seattle Sounders FC at Century Link Field during the first round of the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs (date and kickoff time to be announced at a later date).

Leading the league with 14 goals scored across 19 matches, forward Diego Rossi tonight won the 2020 Major League Soccer Golden Boot presented by Audi. At age 22, Rossi becomes the youngest player in MLS history to lead the league in goals scored. The Uruguayan forward led MLS with 14 goals scored across 19 matches played this season, with a career-high goals-per-game average of .737 on the year. This is Rossi's second Golden Boot of the season, having won the MLS is Back Tournament Golden Boot with seven goals across five matches.

LAFC Forward Carlos Vela scored in his first start since late August, but Timbers defender Jorge Villafaña leveled in the 90th minute to secure a 1-1 draw for Portland during the Decision Day matchup.
