Tonight's Matchup: After completing their season-long five-game road trip, the Cyclones are finally back on the home ice as they reunite with the Orlando Solar Bears for the last time in 2014-15. Their Sunshine State foes have taken all but one of the get-togethers, and all have been extremely close; all three of their games at Amway Center came down to the wire.

Scouting the Solar Bears: Vince Williams' club earned a point on Wednesday night in Toledo by dropping a shootout decision and now sits just three points out of a playoff spot in the East Division. Jacob Cepis continues to pace Orlando with 48 points (12g, 36a) in 45 games this season while Denver Manderson is close on his heels with 45 tallies (16g, 29a) in 48 contests. Garret Sparks has been the Solar Bears' leading man in net with a 14-6-2-0 and a 2.45 goals-against average. Maxime Clermont, who earned his first shutout of the season on Monday against Cincinnati, is now 7-5-0-2 with a 2.94 GAA.

Last Time Out: In what turned out to be another close affair, the Solar Bears narrowly downed the Cyclones by a 2-0 final score in front of 5,072 at Amway Center this past Monday. Rob Madore played valiantly for the second game in a row, despite the defeat, turning 28 Orlando shots.

Power Outage: While they have been one of the least-penalized teams in the ECHL this season, Cincinnati has continued to be extremely efficient when faced with a penalty kill. They have allowed just two power play goals in their last nine games - a remarkable 22 of 24 in that span. Overall this season, they have earned an 81.6% kill rate.

The New Guys: Cincinnati added a couple of new faces to the roster at the trade deadline, by acquiring forward Jack Downing from Missouri and inking Alaska-Faribanks alum Garrick Perry. Downing has been an impressive offensive weapon since turning pro in 2011, notching 102 points (53g, 49a) in 161 ECHL games. Perry, who just wrapped up his senior collegiate campaign at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, had 20 points in 33 games this past year and ranked in the team's top four in scoring.
