Combs Scores in Home Debut but Thunder Fall to Idaho
March 13, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Stockton Thunder News Release
Jack Combs scored in his debut at Stockton Arena while Vinny Scarsella had his fifth multi-point effort as a member of the Thunder, however the Thunder fell to the Pacific Division leading Steelheads 4-2
Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder strike first on a beautiful backdoor one-timer off the stick of Jack Combs, a couple bounces lead to the Idaho Steelheads defeating the Thunder 4-2 Friday night at Stockton Arena. Combs' goal was his team-leading 27th on the season, while Tyler Shattock was able to get one past the goal line in the third for the lone goal scored in the final frame. Nevertheless, the Steelheads were able to earn the win thanks in part to 3 assists by Wade MacLeod and a 2-goal performance by Brett Robinson, making it their seventh-straight victory over the Thunder. Stockton, however, will have a quick shot at redemption as the two teams will once again faceoff Saturday night in the second game of this weekend's three-in-three between the two clubs.
