GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have re-assigned forward Joel Perrault to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.

Perrault, 26, has scored one goal while appearing in two games for the Coyotes this season and has also recorded 12-12-24 and 26 PIM in 29 games for San Antonio. Last year, he collected 2-1-3 in seven games with the Coyotes and 18-31-49 in 46 games with the Rampage to finish 3rd on the team in scoring.

In 2007-08, Perrault finished with 7-10-17 and 48 PIM in 49 games for the Coyotes, setting career-highs in games played, goals, assists, points, penalty minutes, power play goals (3) and game-winning goals (2). Prior to his stint with the Coyotes that season, Perrault recorded 14-13-27 and 36 PIM in 28 games with San Antonio and was named to the 2008 AHL All-Star Game but was unable to play due to his recall. Perrault, who has recorded 11-14-25 and 68 PIM in 87 career NHL games with Phoenix and St. Louis, was originally drafted by Anaheim in the 5th round (137th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.
