
Hogs Host Monsters Tonight, Danis-Pepin Reassigned

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs face off against the Lake Erie Monsters at the Rockford MetroCentre as the Hogs look to stay near the top of the West Division. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
Fans can sign up for a chance to win one of five game-worn jerseys from the 2009-10 season. Sweaters from Danny Bois, Akim Aliu, Jonathan Carlsson, Bryan Bickell and Joe Fallon will be given away during the game.
Additionally, remaining items from some previous giveaway nights will be sold at a rate of 2 for $1, while some others will be given out for free while supplies last. High school and college students can get the best available seat for just $10 after 6 p.m. at the MetroCentre Box Office and fans can also get a Family Four Pack for this and any other Sunday through Thursday game. The Four Pack includes four tickets, four hot dogs, four soda and four popcorns for just $44.

Tonight's game will feature a few new additions to Rockford's squad. Defenseman Danny Richmond and goaltender Hannu Toivonen were added to the roster on Monday in a trade with the St. Louis Blues. Former NHL All-Star Nick Boynton will also join the team today, as he was traded Tuesday from the Anaheim Ducks to the Chicago Blackhawks organization.
The Hogs will need someone to step up as two of their top scorers against Lake Erie will be out of the lineup. Kyle Greentree has recorded six points (4g-2a) while Mark Cullen has notched four points (1g-3a), both will be out of action with injuries. That leaves the top scorer as Richard Petiot, who shows six points (1g-5a).
The game marks the second of three trips that Lake Erie will make to Rockford in 2009-10. Rockford is 3-1-0-0 against Lake Erie this season, including 1-0-0-0 at the MetroCentre.

DANIS-PEPIN REASSIGNED TO TOLEDO
Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Wednesday that defenseman Simon Danis-Pepin was reassigned to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Danis-Pepin, 21, has notched eight points (1g-7a) and has recorded a plus/minus rating of +9 in 38 games with the IceHogs this season.
The Montreal, Quebec, native is playing in his first professional season after skating with the University of Maine for four years. The second round pick (#61 overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft registered 36 points (6g-30a) in 133 games for the Black Bears.
