Reed Traded; Boychuk and Harrison Recalled

Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has acquired center Cedric LaLonde-McNicoll (la-LAWND mihk-NIH-kohl) and Colorado's sixth-round pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for center Stephane Yelle and forward Harrison Reed.

Both players will be available for the Hurricanes' game on Thursday at the RBC Center against the Ottawa Senators.
