In Tuesday's action, Jerome Samson racked up four points (1-3-4) as Albany cruised past Binghamton, 6-1... Alexandre Giroux (2-1-3) and Chris Bourque each posted three points to help Hershey double up Bridgeport by a 6-3 count... Goaltender Cory Schneider stopped 34 of 35 shots in net as Manitoba rallied past Worcester, 3-1... Jordan Knackstedt scored in regulation and notched the lone shootout goal for either side to give Providence a 4-3 win at Abbotsford.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Five points out of a playoff spot in the North Division, Lake Erie kicks off a seven-game road trip with a visit to Rockford on Wednesday... The Monsters, who have played a league-high 35 home games, finish the season with 14 of 19 contests away from Quicken Loans Arena... Lake Erie is just 1-3-0-0 against Rockford this season, including a 4-2 loss on Dec. 5 in their only previous trip to the MetroCentre... Darren Haydar (21-32-53) and T.J. Hensick (17-36-53) are tied for the Monsters' scoring lead with 53 points apiece; Haydar is coming off back-to-back four-point games last weekend (3-5-8), while Hensick is riding a three-game scoring streak (2-4-6)... Defenseman Ray Macias also shows a three-game scoring run (2-2-4)... Rockford, which dropped a 4-2 decision at Chicago on Sunday, is 16-5-0-1 since last suffering consecutive defeats on Jan. 8-9... Kyle Greentree has four goals and six points in four games against Lake Erie this season, and defenseman Richard Petiot also boasts six points (1-5-6) in the season series... 2010 AHL All-Star Jack Skille has tallied seven points (4-3-7) in his last six games for the IceHogs.
Norfolk wraps up a five-game road trip with a match-up against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday and will then play 12 of its final 16 contests on home ice... This marks the first of five meetings between the Admirals and Penguins over the season's final six weeks... The Admirals are 16-3-1-1 since the All-Star break and seven points up on Wilkes-Barre for the East Division's third and final guaranteed playoff spot... Norfolk's two leading scorers - Brandon Bochenski (21-19-40) and Mark Parrish (15-20-35) - are both on NHL recall to Tampa Bay... Juraj Simek, who has 2-2-4 in his last two games, leads the active roster with 33 points (18-15-33) in 62 contests overall... The Penguins have earned a standings point in eight of their last nine outings (7-1-0-1) since posting a 3-10-0-0 mark from Jan. 9 to Feb. 10, but lost leading goal-scorer Luca Caputi to an NHL trade to Toronto on Tuesday... Chris Conner, the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for February, has 9-9-18 in his last 10 games for the Pens... Tim Wallace leads Wilkes-Barre with three goals and four points against the Admirals this season... Norfolk has the AHL's top-ranked penalty kill on the road (86.8 percent).
Providence goes for a two-game sweep of Abbotsford in British Columbia when the Bruins and Heat square off Wednesday night... The B's collected a 4-3 shootout win on Tuesday, vaulting them into a tie with Bridgeport and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the race for the Eastern Conference's final playoff spot... Jordan Knackstedt's regulation goal on Tuesday gives him five points (1-4-5) in his last four games for Providence... Second-year Bruins forward Brad Marchand shows 17 points (5-12-17) in 17 contests since returning from a 16-game injury absence... Trent Whitfield has recorded 6-11-17 in his last 15 outings for the Bruins... Abbotsford is 10-1-0-2 in its last 13 games and sits one point up on Rochester for second place in the North Division... David Van der Gulik is on a four-game scoring streak (2-2-4) for the Heat, his longest since registering a point in the first five games of the season... Brett Sutter has a point in four of his five outings (3-3-6) after totaling two points (1-1-2) in his previous 18 tilts... Jason Jaffray's four-game scoring run (2-3-5) ended in Tuesday's shootout loss.
