Admirals Sign Forward Ryan Cruthers

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals have signed forward Ryan Cruthers to a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).
Cruthers, 25, is a 6-foot-1, 186-pound forward from Farmingdale, New York. He has already appeared in five games with Norfolk this season and registered one assist and two penalty minutes.
The second-year pro has appeared in 47 games this season with the ECHL's Reading Royals, scoring 15 goals and 40 assists for 55 points. He leads the team in assists, ranks second in points and is third in goals. He also ranks in the top 20 of ECHL points (T-14th) and assists (7th). Cruthers also appeared in four games with the CHL's Texas Brahmas earlier this season.
The Admirals will conclude a five-game road trip tonight against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m.
The Admirals will return to Scope on Friday and Saturday for a pair of pivotal East Division matchups against the Albany River Rats. On Friday, the Admirals and the Norfolk Department of Public Health will team up to offer free H1N1 flu vaccinations to all fans in attendance. Then join us on Saturday for American Cancer Society Relay For Life Night. Special discounted fundraising tickets are available with proceeds going back to the American Cancer Society.
