Condors "Splash Down" against Long Beach on Sunday

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors will host the Long Beach Ice Dogs this Sunday at 2:00pm at Centennial Garden. It begins a five-game homestand for the Condors.

On Sunday, everyone in attendance will receive a Condors "Splash Down" poster, courtesy of Bright House Networks, Spanish Radio Group and Everlasting Pools. The poster features Condors Jon Mirasty, Jani Virtanen, Quinn Fair, Johan Astrom and Kevin Riehl all hanging out poolside.

Before the game, come out early for a Pre-Game Fiesta, hosted by Spanish Radio and El Californiano. The Fiesta begins at Noon on Centennial Plaza. In addition, fans are encouraged to wear their best pool party paraphernalia to the game, and the best dressed in attendance will be picked to go down on te ice and shoot for a brand new car during the second intermission.

After the game, season ticket holders are welcome to join the team on the ice after the game for a skate for the team. Limited skate rental is available for just $5.00, or they can bring their own.

Sunday is also Bright House Networks Family Night. Subscribers can purchase tickets for just $5.00 by presenting the coupon included in this month's cable bill. In addition, the game will be carried live on Bright House Networks channel 21, and replayed on Monday at 7:00pm.

All Condors games, home and away, can be heard on KGEO AM 1230, and online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com. "Condors Countdown" starts 15 minutes prior to game time, with Kevin Bartl handling the play-by-play. Condors Legend Kevin Barrett joins the home broadcasts as color commentator.

Individual seats are on sale now, and may be purchased through the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday and at 10:00am this Sunday with the early start time. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location.
