Pride Double-up Generals 4-2

FLORENCE, SC -- Josh Piro, Matt Reid, Craig Brunel and Shaun Sutter all had two points as the Florence Pride downed the Greensboro Generals 4-2 at the Florence Civic Center. The win ends the Pride's team-record losing streak at four games.

Bruenl scored the first goal of the night 7:29 into the first period, firing a one-timer past Greensboro goaltender Daniel Berthiaume.

The Generals tied at at 14:56, with a power-play goal off of the stick of Alex Andreyev.

But, the Pride went back ahead with just 57 seconds left in the period, getting a power-play goal from Kyle Kidney.

Greensboro tied the game again at 6:09 of the second, as Mike Bayrack sped past the Pride defense up the right-wing side and beat Sebastien Laplante with a quick wrist shot.

The Pride once again struck late in the period, as Riku Rahikainen put home a Piro pass for his second goal in as many night, to give Florence the lead for good.

Piro provided insurance, scoring his third goal in four games with the Pride, beating Berthiuame with a slap shot at 4:39 of the third.

Laplante made 30 saves for his 10th win of the season.

The Pride host Charlotte at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
