
Royals To Wear Penske Racing Jerseys Against Wheeling Saturday Night

READING, PA â The Reading Royals, members of the ECHL, America's Premier AA Hockey League, are proud to announce the return of Penske Racing Jersey Night at the Sovereign Center tomorrow night. Reading battles the Northern Division's first place club, the Wheeling Nailers, at 7:05 p.m. The Royals will wear special Penske Racing jerseys during the game, which will be auctioned off conclusion of the game.
Royals general manager, Ray Delia, said he is proud once again to work with Penske Racing, "This is a great partnership, which is mutually beneficial for all parties involved."
"I am most excited about raising money for Berks Women in Crisis with the live jersey auction after the game. The entire organization, our fans, and players support this wonderful cause," Delia said.
Fans will be able to purchase the Penske jerseys off the players back at the end Royals-Nailers contest. A portion of the proceeds from the live jersey auction will benefit Royals Charities, with the designated recipient being Berks Women in Crisis. In addition to the auction, #12 Ryan Newman's NASCAR will be on display at the game and Crown Royal will be handing out Crown Royal carabiners to the first 1,000 fans 21 and over.
Sunday afternoon, the Royals tangle with the defending Kelly Cup Champion, Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies at 1:05 p.m. It's Kid's Day in the Sovereign Center, with the first 2,000 fans receiving beanie pucks courtesy of Reading Area Community College. Plus, it's the finals of the Reading Royals Idol competition.
