Charlotte Checkers News Release
Dusty Jamieson scored twice in the third period to lift the Charlotte Checkers to a 3-1 victory over the Dayton Bombers at Cricket Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina Friday night.
2004 ECHL All-Star defenseman Nate Kiser scored the Bombers' goal in the first period on a second effort, assisted by Jason Deskins. Bombers' goalie Andrew Penner stopped 35 shots in the setback. Chad Wilchynski also scored for Charlotte.
The Bombers will be back in action tonight in Charlotte (7:30 p.m.). They will return home Sunday to host Toledo for "Bucky's Birthday Bash," featuring area mascots (4:00 p.m.).
